PhD thesis

The unit welcomes new PhD students every year. Their work is fully integrated into the unit's thematic research areas, and may be financed by CEBA, AIBSI or CIFRE doctoral grants, or with the help of private partners.

Master 2 EFT thesis

Between ten and twenty students a year are enrolled in the Ecology of Tropical Forests (EFT) course of the BEE (Biodiversity, Ecology and Evolution) Master's degree. Theses produced as part of this program can be consulted online or on request from the librarian.

Internship reports 

Every year, several undergraduate and graduate students come to the UMR EcoFoG laboratories for their internships.  Their work is recorded and stored in the unit's library, using the keyword “ECOFOG” in the Focus search engine.

Popularizing science

Making scientific knowledge and advances accessible to the general public is also one of the missions of the unit's researchers, who willingly participate in the writing of popularization articles published in magazines or webmagazines accessible to all. 

  • Special issue no. 341 of Le courrier de la Nature, published in 2024, features a special report on French Guiana, with contributions from EcoFoG researchers Cécile Richard-Hansen and Céline Leroy. It can be consulted at the documentation center. (only in french)

  • The magazines Une saison en Guyane (2008 - 2017), followed by the newspaper Boukan, can be consulted in print and online at the documentation center. Many of the unit's researchers contributed to the writing of the articles and to the beautiful photo sets. (only in french)
