- Created in 2002, the joint research unit Écologie des Forêts de Guyane (UMR EcoFoG) brings together the resources of AgroParisTech, INRAE, CIRAD, CNRS, the University of French Guiana and the University of the West Indies.

- The UMR comprises several laboratories
- Experimental set-ups are large-scale field installations that are maintained over the long term.
- The herbarium helps to identify and conserve plant diversity, and to train students and researchers in tropical botany.

- Ouvertes à tous, les animations scientifiques offrent la possibilité d'assister à une présentation de travaux scientifiques par un chercheur, un étudiant ou un invité de l'UMR ! Elles se déroulent le vendredi à 11h en salle Silvolab sur le campus, et sont aussi accessibles en distanciel. D'autres rdv ponctuels apparaissent aussi dans cet agenda.

Some projects rely on citizens to collect more data, in different geographical locations and faster. If you'd like to give a little of your time and take part in a project, it's possible. - Initiated in 2000 by Mr. Kouami Kokou, a forestry engineer, and implemented by Mr. Jean-François Maillard in 2001, the campus botanical trail is a short route of less than 1km through a coastal forest.
