Ecophysiology
Objective and purpose
Enable research into the functioning of trees and the Amazonian tropical rainforest ecosystem, at several scales (seedlings, trees, natural or disturbed forest ecosystems)...
The purpose of this laboratory and its experimental facilities is to provide the research programs conducted within the UMR EcoFoG with optimal equipment, plant rearing conditions and laboratory conditions in order to :
- characterize the functional diversity of tropical rainforest trees,
- understand species strategies in relation to environmental constraints,
- understand the influence of environmental conditions on ecosystem functioning (gas flow).
Location and floor space
The ecophysiology laboratory is located in the INRAE buildings on the agronomy campus. It comprises 4 rooms: an equipment storage laboratory, a hydraulics laboratory, a laboratory for the preparation of “dirty” samples and an electronics and UAV laboratory.
The “greenhouse” experimental facility is located on the agronomy campus, around the buildings. It comprises 9 tunnel greenhouses, a large greenhouse with concrete floor, and storage buildings.
